SILVER LINING
"24 x 36"
Linear Graphics. In the 70's, there where prints and posters of far out images of random patterns and designs that was either a product of a drug induced trip or a social statement. My little homage is to life, again. If you can get an idea of what an interpretation of a womb looks like, here it is. The deep purples and silver where inspired by the fabric. This tricky piece required the use of a ruler, however, I was never good at math and measurements. Lots of folding, angling and patience with scissors as well. It's a little askew but that's what make it artistic. It's an attempt at creating perfect lines yet abstract in its finished design. My birth decade had something to do with it and listening to Funk and R&B of that era. (i.e. Marvin Gaye, Earth, Wind & Fire, Curtis Mayfield ) If I were to sell this based on difficulty, merit, coco butter for my poor knees and icy hot for my back bending labor; I'd put it up for a million but to be realistic,

AFROCENTRIC MONDRIAN
"24 x 28"
WOW! Looking at it again and I still can't believe I finished it. Looks like the streets of Harlem really, the colors representing the people and places in that really cool hood where I used to live and walk around in. It's especially nice in the Spring and Summer as you take your own walking tour. Just walk from 125th & Lexington all the way across to Fredrick Douglass Blvd then ( if your tired) take the M101 up to Fort Tryon Park or the Cloisters, then back down again getting off around the 140's. There is City College, St. Nicholas Park. Lots to see, cheap places to eat etc. Oh, right about the painting..
When I saw modern art, I couldn't understand what the hell I was looking at. It wasn't until I saw the original Mondrian piece with its strong graphic design and primary colors did the simplicity of it hit me. Wow, I can do that but put my own spin, and here it is. Using classic Kente cloth I definately made it my own.

THE INNER ME
(two "12 x 24" canvas, "24 x 48" over all)
This was the featured painting in my gallery show. Representing who I am as a person, generally passionate, friendly (hence the strong yellow tones) and exploding with creativity. It's my own homage. The mask represents what we all hide behind and depending on the color of your mood; this is the result. It wasn't hard to continue from one panel to another, I just kept them together until I was finished. What more can I say except that all of my insiprations and influences brought me to my niche and style. This is another favorite of mine, yeah it's very cool. Want one? Make me an offer and I'll see what I can do.

CROWN OF GLORY
"30 x 32"
Ladies and Gentlemen it has come to the end of the show and the final piece of my debut collection.
JESUS BE PRAISED!
This piece is my thanks to God. As a Non-Denominational believer in Christ, I give thanks for the blessing and the talent he has given me. This painting is a representation of Christ and why he died for our sins. The crown is his, the blood (represented as splatters of deep crimson paint) is his, the white and cream back ground, Heaven.
All of us have a piece of him inside, we just have to find it and hone it until it serves "his" purpose.
People wonder "Oh, what's my purpose in life, what am I doing here?" Pondering and lamenting, cryin' whinin' let me tell you somethin' Honey, there is no instant answer that's going to give you a guide book for your life. The only book that makes any sense is the BIBLE (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth) and your purpose is? "To serve Almightly God for his glory, mercy and grace." That's the answer. Doubt, question, argue, debate and fight it all you want but the bottom line is, if you don't know him NOW, you will find out the truth of his existence and his divine plan, but by then, it will be too late. Serve God with all your heart, yur mind and soul and you will be blessed. To be a Christian means to be an heir to the Kingdom, freedom in Christ, immesurable blessings,Agape Love and an intimate relationship with Jesus. It's not spiritual, it's not a philosophy, not a fantasy, he is real. I normally wouldn't sell this particular piece but I am. If you are a wealthy christian or not, donate it to a worthy church after purchase, you will be blessed greatly.
